Facts and Questions

With so many photographers available, why choose you?

There does seem to be a wide choice of wedding photographers these days and it will be hard to know which one to choose. My advice would be to look carefully through their websites first (the internet is the best way to find photographers). You’ll soon have an idea to the standard of their work and service. Next, I highly recommend that you meet the photographer so that you feel comfortable with them, and indeed that the photographer feels comfortable with you!

I trust that you will see by my website that I am well experienced and provide excellent end results. I have been taking wedding photographs since 2004, and have become knowledgable and confident in my work without becoming uninspired and run-of-the-mill.

What if it rains? Can you take group shots indoors?

If, in the unfortunate event that it rains on the day and photographs have to be taken indoors, I have appropriate studio lighting which can be used in most locations. Every interior is different and studio lights are only used if absolutely necessary and the ambient light is too poor.

Can I change the package in any way?

Of course! The packages are by no means set in stone and can be ammended to suit your requirements. Please feel free to ask me about your own preferences.

How much time do you give on the day?

Most weddings take between 6-8 hours from the ceremony to the entertainment. I always arrive early before the actual ceremony and wait until the first dance. My utmost priority is to attain as many photographs of the whole day and evening that encapsulates your special day. Your guests will also relax better when there isn’t a photographer catching every moment during and after a meal, so I try to be as unobtrusive as possible.

What areas do you cover?

How big is the world? I will take photos anywhere. Generally though, I usually work throughout Scotland. I am based in Greenock and any distances beyond a 50 mile radius will require extra travel charges. Please ask me beforehand.

Do you choose the photos for the album? Can we choose for ourselves?

As standard, I select the photos for the album and design the layout myself. The main reason that I do this is so that you will have the album in your hands as soon as possible. If you were to choose yourselves then, assuming that you have a honeymoon, the procees from the wedding date to you finally having the album could be up to 6 weeks (this is allowing for meetings to discuss album design, ammendments and finalizing). This also incurs extra time upon myself and I would have to charge for the additional hours. Actually, all of my customers have been pleased with my own choices and any new additional albums have been quickly achieved.

Again, please do discuss this with me before you make any final decisions.

Do I have to sign a contract?

I do ask that any couples who book my services sign a contract. These are the days we live in.

I’ve decided to book you. What happens now?

First of all, THANK YOU! Please use my contact page to let me know and I will arrange to meet and discuss with you your exact requirements for the day.
